ANNA BAKUN
Anna Bakun is a queer, mixed AAPI performer from Beaverton, Oregon, and a recent graduate of Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Drama (BFA, Acting/Musical Theatre). She made her professional debut in the world premiere of The Queen of Versailles at Boston’s Emerson Colonial Theatre, performing alongside Kristin Chenoweth and F. Murray Abraham in the musical’s pre-Broadway run.
Anna’s stage work bridges classical depth and contemporary edge. At CMU, she appeared as Alice Beane in Titanic, Grusha in The Caucasian Chalk Circle, and Regan in Lear by Young Jean Lee. She is a two-time national winner in the NATS Musical Theatre division, a five-time national finalist in both Musical Theatre and Classical categories, and a seven-time regional NATS champion. She is also a former NAfME All-Northwest vocalist and recipient of the Beaverton Arts Foundation Scholarship.
At Carnegie Mellon, Anna was awarded the Helen Wayne Rauh Award in 2024 and the Adelyne Roth Levine Memorial Award in 2025.
She currently resides in New York City.
